A holiday visit to Knoxville led us to Dragon Den, a small and quaint Chinese restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly, quick service. Despite its unassuming size, Dragon Den delivers a delightful dining experience. We ordered a variety of lunch combos, including Kung Pao Chicken, Garlic Chicken, and Sesame Chicken, accompanied by Hot and Sour Soup and spring rolls. The soup was flavorful, though not as spicy as expected, making it a comforting starter. The Kung Pao Chicken had the perfect amount of heat--enough to clear the sinuses without overwhelming the dish's flavors. The Sesame Chicken was crisp, sweet, and perfectly balanced, while the Garlic Chicken featured generous pieces of tender white meat that made it a standout. If you're in Knoxville and craving Chinese food, Dragon Den is a fantastic choice. With its tasty offerings and friendly service, it's well worth a visit!
Surpassed my expectations. Love good Chinese food but despise mediocre places. This was an absolute pleasure. The staff was very attentive and while listening could tell they love their customers and knew all the regulars well. Food was hot fresh and very tasteful.
I only ordered the vegetable lo mein to go and ate it at the orthopedic surgery center in the parking lot while my husband was having surgery. Surprisingly, I ate every bite. It was good and I look forward to returning and trying more of their menu!
They have the freshest tasting ingredients for their sushi. You can taste it with every bite. We were greeted immediately& instantly attended to. It was 2pm beginning of lunch rush, we got there first it was quiet with the tv on we really enjoyed our time. Love going there 10/10 crab ragoons 10/10 sushi chef - don't forget to tip
Great service. Good quality food. You get what you expect from a traditional Chinese restaurant. I had the chicken and broccoli and the wonton soup. All good. Do not expect amazing but it's solid and delicious.
We walked in, got seated, and the waitress got us a high chair for my daughter. She got our drinks quickly and checked in regularly for refills. We ordered Crab Rangoons for our appetizer, and they were amazing! Super crunchy and flavorful! I ordered the tempura shrimp roll. The presentation was beautiful, the tempura was crunchy, and the flavor was well balanced! My party members orders Egg Rolls, Kung Pao Chicken, Mushu Chicken, and sweet and sour pork. We all enjoyed our food, and even my toddler loved it. The plain fried rice was super flavorful and cooked well. The service was amazing, and even though it was packed for lunch rush, she was very efficient and friendly. All and all, perfect place for lunch. Highly recommended!
Alright, I'm very picky with my sushi and to be frank TN doesn't really have great sushi or Chinese food. I went here because the pictures looked yummy. Let me start off by saying we were like are we sure this is the place and yes it was! Appetizer- wonton chips with warm sweet and sour sauce Volcano platter Dinner- General chicken with fried rice CA roll Jalapeño roll (yummy af) Wonton soup Broccoli with shrimp, pork, chicken, and beef. Everything was fantastic The sushi tasted very fresh and made like a picture The fries rice great flavor Wonton soup the wonton little thicker than what I'm used to but sooo good Absolutely recommend this restaurant Food is really good and service was great!
We had been searching high and low for Chinese restaurants near our home. Turned to trusty Yelp ad were lead to Dragon Den for tasty goodness. This was definitely a Gen. Tso's kinda night...we each ordered a different variety and really appreciated that they even HAD options to choose from. I got a chef's special general tso's with veggies, Tai Qing Chicken, and my husband got the Dragon and Phoenix (general tso' s chicken and shrimp and veggies in a brown sauce). I really liked mine and though the meat wass pretty tender and sauce flavorful. Hubby felt the same, but thought it was strange that his mixed in veggies were in a different sauce than gen tso's. It made for a strange flavor combo. I must add that I LOVED the wonton soup that also came with crispy wonton strips. It was awesome. After seeing rave reviews about sushi, we were puzzled and bummed that they said they were not serving sushi when we called during dinner time. Staffing, perhaps?
